While we are getting closer to the launch of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Exynos 2400 flagship chipsets, MediaTek has announced the official launch date of its upcoming flagship processor, the MediaTek Dimensity 9300. According to the announcements, the next-generation chipset will launch on November 6 at 19:00 local China time. Here are the details about the Dimensity 9300…
MediaTek Dimensity 9300 seems to be the most powerful mobile chipset
The mobile chipset manufacturer announced that it will bring its upcoming processor for flagship smartphones and tablets, and it will be a serious rival to other chipsets, including Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Samsung Exynos 2400.
Depending on the earlier rumors, we can say that the Dimensity 9300 will have four Cortex-X4 cores, unlike its rivals, which have one Cortex-X4. The new chip will have a setup with one powerful core running at 3.25 GHz and three additional cores running at 2.85 GHz.
The remaining four cores will be Cortex-A720 with a maximum speed of 3 GHz – there won’t be any Cortex-A520 cores. The graphics processing unit (GPU) will be an Arm Immortalis G720. When we look at the early tests, we can see that the Dimensity 9300 will have a 65% better CPU score and 55% GPU score than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
Although there are no official announcements, Vivo is expected to use the Dimensity 9300 chipset in the X100 and X100 Pro models, while opting for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor in the X100 Pro Plus.
